Patient safety is defined as the prevention of avoidable harm to patients during their healthcare journey, along with the minimization of unnecessary risks to a level considered acceptable. This threshold is established through a thorough grasp of existing knowledge, available resources, and the unique care environment. As healthcare organizations become more complex and the incidence of medical errors rises, the focus on patient safety regulations and the development of a strong safety culture become increasingly vital. Therefore, it is essential to prioritize patient safety, prevent avoidable injuries, and mitigate the effects of errors among healthcare professionals.
